Tai Poutini Polytechnic, on the West Coast of the Southern Alps, is hosting the Ecotourism NZ conference in Greymouth from 1 to 3 August 2007.

CONFERENCE OBJECTIVES
The objectives of the conference are to:

1. Examine the growing interest in ecotourism in New Zealand and understand some of the issues facing the industry
2. Provide an environment for debate and discussion amongst operators and industry participants
3. Review global trends and the impact these will have on ecotourism in New Zealand
4. Develop strategies to grow and develop the ecotourism sector to deliver the 100% Pure promise

Hear from award winning tourism operators about what strategies are working in their businesses and how they meet the expectations of their customers. 

The conference will be important for ecotourism operators, ecotourism supporting agencies, academics and students, and planners and policy developers from central and local government.
